The Northern Water Municipal Subdistrict has voted to approve a settlement of a federal lawsuit over Chimney Hollow Reservoir.
Spreading the healing legacy and the impact of the Vietnam War, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica Wall, The Wall That Heals, and Mobile Education Center will be coming to Brighton Sept. 2 - 5, 2021. The Wall will be located at Carmichael Park (650 Southern St.) and will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public. In order to make this event a success, the City of Brighton is seeking approximately 150-200 volunteers.
While it is highly doubtful that Weld County will ultimately leave Colorado and become a part of Wyoming as recently proposed by a citizens group called “Weld County Wyoming,” the motivation behind the proposal is understandable.
Every winter, an average of six people are killed in Colorado due to an avalanche. This season—which is far from over—ten have been killed by avalanches in the state so far, including the two who died over Valentine’s Day weekend near Vail.
